Cloud Wine had already been established as an off licence for 11 years when Steve and Joan bought it in 1999 and, despite the opening of a large supermarket nearby in 2002, it continues to offer an extensive range of beers, wines and spirits. As with popular tastes, the wines offered have changed over the years and there is always something new to try, a task Steve is willing to accept. Over the last two years the range of malt whiskies has increased considerably and there are some rare malts for those special gifts. An air conditioner has been installed, so that customers can browse in comfort during those hot summer days, and there is a Chilla, which can chill wine in just 4 minutes. A free glass loan is available for those big occasions and free delivery can also be arranged. Despite spending 23 years travelling the world, Steve was failing in his attempt to drink everything it had to offer so he decided it was time he and his wife, Joan, tried selling alcohol instead.
